This video will make you laugh, make you cry, and it will give you faith in the new generation. Thirteen kids aged 5 to 13 were shown two videos of same-sex proposals, and were then asked a bunch of questions regarding same-sex marriage.
At first, the kids were distracted by the music and dancing, singing along and bobbing their heads. But things start to get funny once the videos reveal what they’re actually about. You’ll laugh at how the smaller kids gasp in awe with the man proposing to another man at Home Depot and a woman proposing to another woman while on top of a bus. Reactions go from “This is so cute,” to “This is crazy!” to “This is all new to me!.” And one little girl didn’t even know what was happening, saying, “Good friends.”
The charm of this video begins once the interview started. While some of the kids thought the videos were adorable, gushing and smiling, some of the kids thought the whole thing was plain crazy!
This video shows viewers the honest thoughts of kids with regards to homosexuality. If you want to get the truth, nothing can be more effective than by asking a child – and this video will not only make you smile and laugh, it will actually melt your heart.
Most of the kids had a positive opinion about same sex marriage but one little boy though it was wrong. But when asked why he thought it wasn’t right, he said, “I don’t know.” Which makes you question what his parents must be telling him about same-sex relationships.
But all in all, the kids’ reactions were pretty incredible. Some of the older kids revealed having gay friends, and how they’re just like everybody else. You wouldn’t think that kids as young as 5 or 13 would say the things they actually say in this video, which are actually more progressive than the opinions of some 30-year olds today.
From saying, “You shouldn’t think about what other people think of you,” to “Anyone should be able to marry anyone,” – the kids sound even more mature than most adults today.
From the kids’ reactions, to their seemingly opposing views on the matter at first, to their shock as to why only 14 states legalize gay marriage, to their show of acceptance and support, this video will make you question even yourself. It will also make you wish some of your adult friends were as wise as these kids actually are.
