  1. Ko Pha Ngan Island, Surat Thani

Once a month, on the night before, during, or after the full moon, literally tens of thousands of partygoers descend to Haad Rin Beach in Koh Pha Ngan for the aptly named “Full Moon Party”. The party island is located in the southern province of Surat Thani and is one of the wildest outdoor, all-night beach parties in the entire world.

Although not an exclusively gay event, the party has been a favorite of LGBT folks since its first launching in 1985. All hotels, bungalows, and bed and breakfast facilities on the island are no strangers to gay couples.

An airport on the island is currently under construction, but for now the easiest way to Koh Pha Ngan is by first traveling to the airport on neighboring island of Koh Samui. Of course, no honeymoon in Thailand would be complete without a trip to the capital city of Bangkok – one of the most vibrant metropolitan cities in all of Southeast Asia.
